All you need to know about visiting NCCD

Tue 28 Jul 2020

WE ARE OPEN and we cant wait to welcome you back.

Here’s everything you need to know about visiting NCCD:

  • You don’t need to book to visit us, unless you are a group of 5 people or more. Please ring 01529 308710 to arrange a group visit.

  • Before you come in we’ll be carrying out a few checks. We’ll do a non-contact temperature check and we’ll take your details for NHS test & trace.

  • We’ll ask you to sanitise your hands regularly and we have new sanitising stations throughout the building.

  • We are strongly advising staff and visitors to wear a face mask or face covering. In line with current government guidance, this will not be compulsory, except in our Shop, Cafe and Lift.

  • We are limiting visitor numbers and following the 2m socially distancing rule. There is a new one-way route and at busy times we may ask you to queue.

  • Visitors can use our lift but this is limited to 2 people at any one time, unless you are a family.

  • As part of our phased reopening our cafe is take away only and we are serving a reduced menu. Visit our website for weekly specials!

  • Our current exhibition Body & Mind: Seen & Unseen explores what it means to be well and is the perfect post-lockdown antidote. Visitors can browse the exhibition freely following the 2m social distancing rule. We have removed all creative activities and interactive displays. Please note our roof gallery is now closed.

  • NCCD looks different now. We’ve moved things around in our cafe and shop and put up lots of new signage and protective measures. We also have a new reception area!

  • Our refurbishment is underway so access around NCCD is limited. Visitors must enter via Eastgate Green and there are two exit routes from the ground and 1st floor. There is lots of new signage in place to point you in the right direction and staff are on hand to help you too.

  • We’re delighted that we’ve been awarded the Visit Britain industry standard that signals we meet all government and public health COVID-19 guidelines and WE’RE GOOD TO GO.

See you soon!!!
