Dance Development Officer - Maternity Cover

The National Centre for Craft & Design (NCCD)/artsNK Dance is seeking a Dance Development Officer to cover maternity leave for a maximum of 12 months, commencing 4 January 2021*

Our renowned dance programme provides creative opportunities for participation and performance on a regular basis, through a varied high quality mix of contemporary offerings that are inclusive, accessible, affordable and always forward thinking.

The postholder will work as part of a small team responsible for delivering a dynamic commercial programme of dance opportunties.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have experience in teaching dance for Young People and Older Adults. The postholder will deliver Dance for Parkinson’s, Dance in Care Homes and Dementia Dance; assist delivery of Dance in Education & Youth Dance; and help develop a NEW dance programme at NCCD. During the current pandemic, we are also teaching online and via pre-recorded videos.

The ideal candidate will keep up to date with current issues and developments within a wider dance context and implement these into the dance programme, pro-actively seeking partnership development.

Applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check and a current valid driving licence, including the use of a vehicle with insurance for business purposes, is essential for this role.

Business Support Officer - Permanent Part-Time

The new Business Support Officer joins us at a very exciting time as we embark on a major capital refurbishment and expansion project.

We’re looking for a dynamic and knowledgeable Business Support Officer that is highly organised and methodical with an interest and passion for the arts. The post-holder will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our day to day business and financial functions. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge and experience of finance administration and be committed to supporting a very busy and creative office and team.

The role of Business Support Officer is a full-time job-share position. Due to Covid-19, we are recruiting for 15 hours per week initially and as we re-build the business, there may be an opportunity to increase the hours up to 30 hours per week.
