Situated in the centre of Sleaford in the heart of rural Lincolnshire, NCCD is the home of British contemporary craft and design. The centre is easily accessible by all major transport routes and close to all transport links in the town.

Opening Hours

Our gallery, shop and cafe are temporarily CLOSED and will remain closed until further notice.

However, our online shop only is now OPEN, visit our shop here.

When visiting when we are open, please use the Eastgate Green entrance to enter NCCD.

We have a number of new measures in place to ensure a safe visit which you can read about in our Re-opening Frequently Asked Questions.

Please also be aware that we are currently undergoing a major refurbishment, however we are doing our best to minimise any disruption.

Admission to NCCD is FREE.

Charges apply for some of our workshops and events, please see the specific event page for details.

No fee is charged when booking a workshop at reception or over the phone. A small admin fee applies when booking online.

How to Find Us

By Car: Use NG34 7DW for sat navs and follow the brown signs which are displayed on all approaches to the town. The A15 and A17 routes pass directly through Sleaford linking to the A1 within 20 minutes.

Parking: Eastgate car park is directly adjacent to the Centre and between Monday and Saturday the first hour parking is FREE, then £1.50 for 1-3 hours and £3.50 all day. On Sunday and Bank Holiday parking is FREE. Disabled parking spaces are also available. Parking is free for blue badge holders.

By Train: NCCD is a 5 minute walk from Sleaford train station. Sleaford is approximately 2 hours from London Kings Cross, 1 hour from Nottingham and 30 minutes from Lincoln Central.

By Bus: Sleaford is locally serviced by Centrebus and Stagecoach. National Express coaches run a service between Sleaford and London and from other major cities and towns.

Accessibility & Facilities

NCCD is a fully accessible building with lift access to all floors. There are accessible toilets and we are wheelchair and buggy friendly. Mobility scooters are available on request. Baby changing facilities are also available.

Ceramic Kiln Hire

Want to fire your pottery but have no kiln?

We are hiring our kiln to be used by individuals, schools and community groups.

The kilns dimensions are 60cm high x 40cm wide x 60cm deep.
